Yeah, yeah, yeah. Heck, I give thanks every day I wake up, the knees work and it's above 30 degrees with a wind blowing less than 30 miles per hour. Still and all, it's a wonderful day to just pause, because there are probably some senient beings out there who don't recognise how blessed they are, each and ever day, to have an each and every day.
For me, it means that it's time to get Excited! It's time to dust off that Noel hat! It's time to start listening for those hoofbeats on the roof (and YES, I do it every single time, and YES, I do hear them ever single time -- being psychotic is not always a bad thing).
In a mere month, in 1/12th of a year, in the blink of an eye, it will be Christmas Eve! There is a lil boy in me that just jumps up and down and claps his hand at the thought. Not because if material gifts, not because of something that can be seen, not because of snow or cold or sleet or rain. It's because of the Magic of the Season! It's the one time of the year that humans try their hardest to BE human, and that lifts my soul and my heart and enables it to sing on the wings of angels.
Heck, I'm getting teary eyed just a-thinkin 'bout it...
So, Happy Plymouth Survival day! Do give thanks on this day for those things in your life that you hold dear and near. Just a suggestion.. LIFE! Oh, and family and friends, of course. and the dogs and cats and fishes and birds and hamsters and gerbils and crocodiles and reptiles and even evil wicked stepmothers. Except mine.
Hugs to all!
