My wrist hurts. Not a lot, but it's become a pain to write, so I'm not... much. I have some good ideas for the BP&G I'm working on, and if I could get my right hand to co-operate, they'd be written.

Darlin Capi provided some neat little Iso gloves, and even they don't help. Might just be Arthur Writus popping in for a visit. Might be the tons of typing I do at work. Might be stuff I have no idea bout, and it might be all or any of the above.

Regardless, I will be writing again... I just need to figure this one out.

You know... there's a bunch of folks out there that have a bunch of underlying stuff going wonky in their lives. I'm feel for you, and it makes my lil hand thing here pretty darn small, at least to me. I've got a solid place in my heart and head for all you, specifically Becky, who I quietly love, Amber, my favorite niece, Capi, my darlin sis, Susi, my favorite queen and sis, and all of those of us that I know need a bit of support and extra loving energy. For that Extra, Extra, Extra long sensation.
And for you, Kevin, I have a very special sort of place. You and me are interdimensionals, chum. You, I think, just let it get to you.

The Futuros are what I am using - flexible, with a wrap-around strap that provides extra support at the wrists. Yes, they need to washed periodically (hmmm, mine, too...).

You need to wear them for *all* computer work, as well as use wrist supports for both keyboard and mouse activity. And I wear mine for playing, both hands (fingering and bowing). If you use a computer at work, make sure that your arm positions allow your wrists to be flat.

I'll show you what I mean this weekend. What you are describing is something that can be Arthur or could easily be the nudges of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. The good news is that it's at least somewhat preventable, or can be held in check.

It might be Carpal... I've had the twinges of it before. When I feel the beginnings of it, then I start to exercise the wrist in non-repetitive ways and vary my typing styles. I also keep an eye on how hard I hit the keys, specially the space bar which is the thumb. That's the digit that seems to take the brunt of my abuse.
It's a bit better this morning, which means I'm on the right tack. Looking forward to seeing you!
