The truly bad thing about having been ill on the Orphans Thanksgiving is that I had no appetite at all. I ate some really good ham and some of Sherry's chocolate and peanut butter to die for cookies, and umm.. some dressing and a bit of pumpkin pie, but really, I just didn't have any sort of desire to eat anything. However, I did get a double helping of Hug from my favorite grown niece, AmberBob. After a treat like that, I don't really need to be filled by much more.

Now, NOW! I want pie. I want pecan pie and more pumpkin pie and some apple pie and a bit of apple cobbler and even cherry cobbler. So I went and picked up a Mrs. Smiths, just to beat the craving. Still... I missed having some of Susi's pecan pie with her new crust recipe (I did steal a tiny bit of crust, so I know it's pretty tasty).

On the health side, the cooties have mostly left, my ear has mostly unblocked, but it is still ringing like a constant tornado siren. That'll end once the internal swelling has gone down. Generally, I'm okdoke.

Why is this even remotely important to anyone out there? Because it means I'll be able to finish this goofy novel I started in November. When ill, I just don't like to do much of anything.

Hugs to you, kids! Love you muchly, muchly and with great fondness.

My favorite type, with or without chocolate. Specially with a fire and cocoa.

For some reason my energy levels were really low that day. I felt like I was driving in first gear. Glad you're starting to feel better.

I've had days like that, chum. I wonder if it's because of all the energy you shoved into finishing Nano? Woke up this morning midpoint to take some more medication and my ear was completely unblocked! yay! Then I went back to sleep and now it's all blocked again. *sigh* At least I know it's not permanent.

Hope this Wednesday is a great one for you! How many days you have left until your alleged retirement?

Thank you, miss. Now, I'm a thinking that you're probably more useful getting your new house ready and all that, rather than going hither and yon looking for work. Doesn't mean you shouldn't search, but the universe may be telling you that your priorities may lie elsewhere.

Hugs!

Oh I am not really putting much into the search for now. Just hitting some of the online opportunities. What else have I got to do sitting here from 8:30-5:00? I know, not the best etiquette, but they have dwindled away what responsibilities I have to this point.

I don't plan to go back to work until Richard returns to school after winter break anyway. The boys could really use some time with me. They have been sold short on that over the years.

As often so, you are right on the button with your words of wisdom.

Hugs ya back!

Wisdom? *snort* If I was so wise, would I be where I am? Hmmm. Maybe I would be, at that. Life tends to put me right where I'm needed most. Even if I wasn't wise at all.

YAY!!!!!!!

Uh... for feeling better, not for having cravings AFTER the party is over. I'm sorry about that part. Maybe you could sweet-talk Susi into something... *grin*

I'm not doing so badly! *pumps air* WHOO!

Wellsir, i does TRY to avoid and side-step them there infections... but alas, i's never very graceful. *snort* Just got off the phone setting up with the doc, so maybe that will help with both of these issues, huh? She's a good doc, as far as Kaiser goes, so that's a help.

I'm glad you are feeling better! I also wish I could take credit for the chocolate peanut butter goodness, but those were Charity's contribution. Me I was Dressing, Rolls and Pumpkin Torte.:-) {HUGS}

I thunk that Ken said the chocolate peanut thingies were yours! Well... the dressing was good too! I DID feel better. Now, I feel like crap again, but better crap than I did. I'm just really sad that YOU feel as badly as you do.

Thank you, m'dear. A little better is the way to put it. It's rather interesting, actually. I only become ill about once a year, and, intellectually, it's curious to see what goes on in the body, take notes, compare aches and pains to other aches and pains I've had. I won't miss it, though. Illness is like Halley's comet. It comes, it goes, and I never truly have enough time to study it properly.
