Second Batch of Sasparilla..

Is Wonderful!!

Light, is tasty, not to Licoricy for those that don't like it, but with a nice soft flavor. Still not terribly fizzy, but by gom, it doesn't need to be. I think I just haven't gotten the temperature of water right for proper carbonation. Next time, I'll use a right thermometer, other than my hand. But it's sasparilla, all righty.

I'm saving it for a while, gonna chill it out in the fridge. Suzy, you may have to come to one of our PB meets to try it.

I don't know the expiration date, so I'm gonna pretend it lasts forever. But it's much better than the first batch.

Congrats on a good batch! :) My travel plans are set for this year, so I'll absolve you from your promise of saving me one from this batch, but not from the next one! :)

I don't get on AIM much myself, but I figure we'll bump into each other eventually. :) I'm taking a break right now... I'm painting my office, which includes loosening the nice wood trim that some @#$%^& slopped paint all over, and scraping the edges good, before I start the walls. Darned if I'm going to do as lousy a job as the aforementioned did. ;)
