I'm semi off line for a while. I'm having some minor issues with my left arm, so my postings will be fairly brief. Just to let you know that I'm not ignoring you, I'm just not answering you.

But man, some heavy, heady questions... Not to mention soooo many new spirits around me. I'll be writing more tonight, just cuz.. I don't like getting behind, so owies be damned.

Tissue damage from torn rotator cuffs, done something like.. hmm.. 8 years ago. One arm is at 98 percent, the other close to 80. The 80 percenter is the Sad one. He gets tired.

Here are some simple shoulder exercises that should help strengthen that up!

http://www.mednets.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/articles_basic_wrist_and_elbow_rehabilitation_shoulderrehab

Be sure to alternate heat and ice for 15 minutes and that will help ease the irritation.

Yeah. I'm trained as a physical therapy tech... :)

Don't overdue the exercises. Maybe try one every hour and take 30 min to an hour to rest and start out at only 10 reps and work your way up.

This one: Horizontal Abduction Shoulder Stretch ; was the one that, 7 years ago, cause me to scream from the pain. It was a fun exercise, and I would have told you anything you wanted to know just to make it stop. Silly thing was, I was doing it to myself.

Those SUCK! I hate those! I had to do those too for my arthritis issues and also had to learn them for PT tech training but man I would make up colon problems just to leave the room while those were being done! There was no way!!

I hope you feel better soon too. New spirits around you eh? Pick a healing one and take jeni's advice. Maybe even go to a massage therapist. Whatever, don't worry about replies or anything, just get well! *sending soothies to you too*

Thank you, Calamity. I'm in the process of recognizing and hopefully reorganizing some of me, to take care of these lil things. It never really bothered me till just this year. And Yes, new spirits around me. All you shiney people, y'know?

Can sometimes be a bit.. whelming for an old hermit like me.

I'm an older hermit than you ;p Love dem shiney people though! *g How's it feeling today? Get some Watkins White Liniment, it helps more than anything I've used for muscle pain. Might work, who knows? Besides, that healing spirit is there with you, if you know what I mean. Anything's possible. *s
Might be whelming, but it's possible.

Older hermit?? No possible'! I'm the original Wandering Jew! You is too shiney in the night to be older.

Horse liniment works good too. Arm is feeling better, just a bit tender in spots. No more constant ache. I had to convince the calcification that it really didn't want to occur around the elbow. Once I figured out what was going on, the rest was pretty simple. It'll take a while, but it's much better, and thanks for .... the if you know.
