Very, very neat idea, but wonder why I haven't heard anything about it before? And I can't help but wonder where the money's coming from for a project of that magnitude. Hate to be a downer but I have to be skeptical of anything built in that area since I was a part of "camelot" which was supposed to be a permanent Renaissance Festival. It was poorly managed and funded and took in a lot of us who moved down there and gave it out best. We didn't get paid and a lot of folk are still pretty bitter about it.
Maybe will have to drive by it when I'm down that way sometime.
The money has been raised by a Frenchman who wanted to build a castle. I don't really think it's for a faire, sis. Here's the scoop on the guy that's behind it all. http://ozarkmedievalfortress.com/en-us/about-us/michel-guyot
Very Muchly Agree! Say, Bill... did you read who they are taking for Volunteers? Artisans! Well, okay... other folks too. I was thinking, though, with your and Missy's skill set, you folks would fit right in, once you passed the physical.
Still, it'll be an interesting place to visit, for sure. It's only 6 and some change hours away from KC.
Actually more Medieval than Renaissance
