my brain is tired

It was a day full of technical challenges and emails asking for knowledge today. Now, I'm not officially anything but a cell phone specialist, doing the job of making sure numbers move in and numbers move out with the least conflict. Sometimes, though, it feels like if I wasn't there, everyone's brain would just deflate until I showed back up. Pure Ego. Yeah, it feels good to be the "go to guy" and "the Guru". But it is tiring, especially when you haven't had that level of stress in many a year.
And it's a good thing. It does not suck. It shows that I still have fairly good working cognitive functions and am still pretty good at working up outside the box solutions to problems nobody has encountered yet. It is something that has bugged me of lately, that I may be losing that along with bits of my memory. Tain't so, McGee.
My daily list of things that don't suck:
1. Coffee.
2. Spinal Tap, which was on The Daily Show.
3. Singing at work, and not having anyone throw things at me. The songs I sing are Re: Your Brains, Fly Me to the Moon, and Dream A Little Dream. Okay... sometimes Mack the Knife.
4. Clouds. Clouds to me are sooo big, they make any issue I may have look sooo small. Today I say clouds whizzing by overhead that looked as if they were in a snowglobe that had been smeared with Vaseline. Big, gray, out of focus, and just incredible.
5. Positivity. See, when we talk about all the negative things, we perpetrate the negative things. The Something Bads. We give them too much power over our lives. So, 6 goes to
6. Amber Bob. A woman who, rather than dwelling on negativity, decided to NOT. Just simply NOT. Further, she has started a rolling thunder of folks who joined her in also deciding to NOT. And you know... I'd bet those folks are feeling what happens when you take power from the Bads and give it to the positive things in their lives. They empower themselves to feel good. They decide that they CAN, rather than can't.
7. Smiles. They make my heart beat faster and my life feel full. They give me hope that other folks will realize that the world can be better. They just have to make that choice.
Yeah, I'm getting preachy. So, it's time to stop for now. Besides... my brain is still tired. Have a wonderful night, a better tomorrow and stay safe and dry wherever you are.
