It was one of those nights when my mind was unsettled and things happened. I decided to fix my computer. Not exactly sure why I did it, but I over clocked my CPU, which proceeded to crash my system. Took me about 2 hours to get it back up and then another hour or two to get it to the point where I was satisfied it was running the way I wanted. The system finally agreed with me about 1:30 or so A of the M, and frankly, that's way to late to be writing.

My tummy wasn't happy and the world was just not quite right... I think I'm having a reaction to some pretty heavy sinus drainage. I mean, I could have started writing about 1:30, but I just didn't feel like it. I at a peanut butter sandwich and a bit of mac n pretend cheese, and I don't think that helped much, either.

I did see a very odd little movie with Ben Kingsley in it. Called "Subject Zero"... about a Remote Viewer who is tracking down a very successful serial killer because the Viewer can't shut off the visions. Curious things I see that spark memories that don't quite exist. Sometimes having a brain like mine just bugs the tar out of me. Other times, it's a joy, but most times, it's a wonder.

The mind was spinning so fast today and the thoughts and ideas were flying so quickly, that I simply didn't have time to write them all down and now I can't remember half of them. I mentally wrote the first 500 words or so of Sid, where Virgil explains that he isn't the only Virgil... he's A Virgil, Uno E Pluibus Virgil. He made the mistake of saying "I'd sell my soul for..." back on earth, and so he got stuck with the position of tour guide of Hell. He's not dead, just one of the Damned Living.

He launches into his tale as he and Sid start back to where Justin and Betty are... but when they get there, all that is found is the crumpled Pedicab. Fortunately, part of The Virgil's job is to find anyone in Hell, and he has a sniffer. A sniffer is a tiny denizen of Hell that works as a demonic GPS locator.

I wrote, mentally, the first chapter of the Coulton musical. The protagonist, John, of course, gets what the Code Monkey dreamed of... he makes it as a success with the creation of a popular computer game. He and his receptionist sweet heart move out to the Burbs where John finds out that what he thought he wanted isn't all it's cracked up to be, and one day, after escaping his shrew of a wife, he cracks up his car and almost dies. He has an out of body experience, and watches himself grow up, all over again. Most of the play is about his hopes, dreams, and lost loves.

No major writes on the Aspect book, but that is a thing that will write itself when I sit down to it. Basically, the Wiz finds himself going to the Gypsy Coffee House and meeting a group of ValGal Witches. One of them, besides Barbie is genuine. The others are in it for the kick. I think I'll call her Molly, and make her a stripper. Molly Bendium. I'm kidding! I think. Anyway, Molly, Barbie and Goth are pretty much the only ones that show any talent, and Goth is not even aware she is the strongest of the three. Molly clues Chet Wiz (sounds like cheeze wiz) in on an age old serial killer who is staying alive by draining the life from his victims and absorbing the souls into himself. Molly, though she looks to be about 27 is really pretty old herself, and has been tracking this guy since he killed her family back in the 1800s. and yes, she knew Bob Plumb. That's how she knew about the journals, and she was hoping there would be something in the journals to aid her in sending the soul sucker to hell... or wherever.

I redesigned the still about three times, trying to figure out a way to get the condensing coil to cool without having to run cold water through it. If I can, that will significantly lower the PIA feature of it. I've also just about figured out how to create the thing without brazing or welding, so that it can be disassembled down to the smallest component and cleaned.

Oh. Wait. I think I just figured it out. A semi-closed system radiator, with a muffin fan. Thanks Bruce... it was the swamp cooler that reminded me. Okay... all that remains is the parts, construction, and testing. neato.

Also working on the bike generator, in my head... streamlined and think I've about got the wiring harness figured. All I need is the wire, which I can pretty much pick up anywhere and the clamshell for the ... whatchamacalit... Heck, I hate it when I lose words. I know what I mean, though.

There was something I was going to mention to Susi and Bruce, but I'll be darned what it was. Sometimes I feel like Charlie in Flowers for Algernon Things just slip away. sometimes.

Anyway, my tummy is almost calm again, so I think I'll attempt to get some sleep. It's like, 3:40 in the morning. Now, if only my brain would slow down.

*smile* I love to read when you write like this; just your brain workin' and bubblin' along. So whatcha gonna brew in that still, anyway?

And if there was something you were going to mention to us, well, it'll cycle back around again. Maybe something about either the shed or the pool deck? There's time...even if there's no weekends for us until the end of October.

Love you, brother dear, muchly.

Oh yeah, I was up til almost 2:30 myself; just couldn't sleep. So I was reading...interesting book even if it was hard to get into. I think you'd like it; you're more than welcome to read it when I'm done. By Tyree Campbell; met him at ConEstoga, felt sorry for him 'cause he wasn't selling anything and now glad I bought it. Book's called, "The Dog at the Food of the Bed."

I've been wondering about what I'm going to make. Now... potatoes are still fairly cheap... so perhaps some sort of vodka thingy. Of course, I'm also wondering how well it'll run an engine. Just cuz I'm the curious sort.

It's possible that I was just thinking of you two, rather than any sort of actual thing. Might have something to do with the Coulton musical. It'll come back 'round when it does.

Love you too, Royal Sis. Drink deep, k?

That was like a ride from Santa Cruz Boardwalk, one of the crazy ones where you are sure you'll be flung upside-down any time now. *grin* I'm sure it even made sense... to someone.

Just ribbin' you, my dear. I followed *most* of it, and the parts i didn't are parts i'm pretty sure will come clear over time as stories unfold. I'm just sorry you were not feeling well last night.

Better now? ((( hug )))

Yeah, I am better. It's the drainage from this right ear, the one that has that pesky drum damage. Six hours sleep and I'm back up again.

I was kinda glad nobody was around to attempt conversation during that 45 minutes of intense brain activity. It would have slowed me down awful.
