I is much better...
Dec. 3rd, 2008 12:18 amThe truly bad thing about having been ill on the Orphans Thanksgiving is that I had no appetite at all. I ate some really good ham and some of Sherry's chocolate and peanut butter to die for cookies, and umm.. some dressing and a bit of pumpkin pie, but really, I just didn't have any sort of desire to eat anything. However, I did get a double helping of Hug from my favorite grown niece, AmberBob. After a treat like that, I don't really need to be filled by much more.
Now, NOW! I want pie. I want pecan pie and more pumpkin pie and some apple pie and a bit of apple cobbler and even cherry cobbler. So I went and picked up a Mrs. Smiths, just to beat the craving. Still... I missed having some of Susi's pecan pie with her new crust recipe (I did steal a tiny bit of crust, so I know it's pretty tasty).
On the health side, the cooties have mostly left, my ear has mostly unblocked, but it is still ringing like a constant tornado siren. That'll end once the internal swelling has gone down. Generally, I'm okdoke.
Why is this even remotely important to anyone out there? Because it means I'll be able to finish this goofy novel I started in November. When ill, I just don't like to do much of anything.
Hugs to you, kids! Love you muchly, muchly and with great fondness.
