I figured that I was tired enough and that it would be hot enough (estimated to be 105 today) that I would take the Van. I verified it was the relay giving me the major grief on starting because I whacked it and sure enough was rewarded with the whirr of the fuel pump... so that mystery is partially cleared up. I say partially cleared because it could be a combination fuel relay and fuel pump. If it's the relay alone, a simple 11 dollar part will fix it. If it's more... well, we'll burn that bridge when we have to cross it.

Anyway, for those of you that might be concerned I'm in the midst of heat stroke, I'm fine. However, while driving to work, I noticed some great scenery that would have been very cool while biking. I also have made up my mind that riding to work is so much better than driving, just for the weight loss alone. 10 pounds in a month and my belly no longer resembles one of the seat cushions on my sofa.

Yeah, the tank is nearly empty, and I have enough to put gas in it if I don't spend anything else for the next 5 days, which I'm getting really good at. The world is good.

as in OhM-alicious Goodness. Surrounded by folks that represent maybe a 5th of my true family, a nice mixture of misanthropes and social connectors that bridge the gap between my normal grumpiness and my normal positive belief system. I missed not having April, my evil twin there, but she was there in spirit and she was a noticed amputation. I know something of what she was going through, even if I have to guess, because I've been there myself. And YOU were missed, dear. And AmberBob and Kim, too!

It felt so absolutely right to have so much joining going on. I know that the connection will grow deeper and brightly, brightly and with MUCH beauty. There are some I would definitely like to grow closer to... hell, all of 'em, in fact. And that includes those of you who weren't there. Lucky me, tho... it seems I already am, even Cynthia, my sworn enemy, whom I think is bout cute as three kittens in a box (don't tell her I said that).

I'm sitting here a sheet and a half to the wind and basking in the afterglow and afterflow. Yeah... this is what GOOD family is like. Better'n fresh baked bread with homespun honey on a cold October morning, and far more soul filling.

Ya'll who don't know what I'm talkin 'bout are invited, if'n you wants. We seem to keep growin an growin. Now, if we just had a hundred acre farm so we could do some barn raisin'.

Yeah, these are good folks. I think I'll stick around, just cuz of them. I gots to sit through to the end, even if I know how the story goes.

Now, I'm gonna kick back, relax in the air, once it gets cool. Gonna give you a link to a song that I think needs to be stolen from Jonathon Coulton and played at a few of them conventions I can't seem to get to. Just click on the link that says Play the Song.

It's called Better.

and one for my missing twin, called De-Evolving "

and one for my chum, Tim.

I Crush Everything

Thanks, Sherry.
