I am sooooooooo ready for November 1. See, it's the start of Nanowrimo, and the creative juices have finally started to trickle back in, with the help of Wanderradio.com, 109.9 almost on your radio dial (Yes, I say the whole title because I think it's cool)

The cool air is bring in a change of leaves and the old guard of the Summer (face it, for me it was pretty much nothing to brag about) has given way to the wonders of Fall. I'm ready, the sap is flowing and I know where I'm going with the story that's been brewing in my head since the end of the last Aspect story. I even have a few guest appearances lined up.

It's gonna be a big battle against one of the major touchstones for the Something Bads. It's the reason I took a trip to Sedan, Kansas with Sherry. I needed to find a town that as evil incarnate, and the world wouldn't miss if I totally wiped it off the face of the earth. Sedan matches that description. OH, not the people, or at least some of them. But the town itself is just pure and distilled ickiness to me.

I am so ready to write.

Yeah, I could! Shamrock isn't an evil town... just traces of what evil can do.

If I had known you were looking for a Kansas town to wipe off the face of the Earth, I could have suggested one.

But, since this is an unlocked post, I'll just leave it to your imagination...

All my posts are unlocked, hon. You have the absolutely right to ask me to delete a reply or send me a private message. Now, if you were to ask me to remove KC, that might be a bit much, as there are too many good people there. Parsons? Dunno. It was Sedan that drew my attention, and frankly, it wouldn't matter to me if my dear love and very best friends lived there. If it was required by the story, it would be done.

Heck, I once destroyed Potbelly's, which is the honorary home of our Pub Night, just because an evil demonic Leprechaun decided he wanted to cause some trouble.

Not asking you for a delete - just being my usual paranoid circumspect self on an unlocked post...

As I recall, when you made that trip with Sherry, things were still 'happy' with where I was then living. That was, of course, before its true Stepford nature showed itself (and yes, I have made that comparison more than once in the past few months - remind me to expound on that topic when next we get a chance to sit for a bit).

I kinda wondered bout that sort a thing, specially in southern Kansas, where there is such a pressure to 'fit in' and 'be recognized'. More than one of those near border towns give me the willies, they do. Even Arkansas City with it's neat little brickyard streets was like that. In town, Sherry and I couldn't find a place open to eat after 6 pm. We had to drive out to a Long John Silvers, just outside of the town proper. We did stop at one place, I forget the name, and we got there one minute after it closed. The waitress inside gave us the evil eye, she did.
Stepford. Yeah, I think that's a good reference point.
