Gotta run, but...

joegodaWe is in Planet Huston, at a *sshhhh* SciFi convention. Had a wonderful time touring Galvenston and showing Sherry what an Ocean looks like. Yes, you can see the ocean from Gulf... you just have to look further out than normal.
Visited the San Jacinto memorial, which was very hot and very cool, all at the same time. I got to walk on a Battleship! I mean..., yes, instrument of death and all that, but it was a very interesting sort of weird sort of light and heavy feeling. Hard to explain.
We rode the ferry between Galveston and umm... whatever that other strip of land is. Riding with the waves rocking under your feet is exactly as I remember it from 48 years ago. Pretty darn nice to know I can remember that. It's also sort of comforting in an odd sort of way.
Well, we are all three well, we haven't killed each other yet, and probably won't. Wish some of you were down here with us- you'd have a blast, I'm sure. Already did NOT get thrown out of a panel discussion.
Gotta run. Somebody needs saving in one of the con rooms.
