Carolyn called. Yeah, I know... most of you don't know her, but that's not necessary. You don't even have to care. Really. She's an important part of my Universe, even if she doesn't live though the year.

I got to the point and asked her if her kidney shutting down was a bad thing.

She told me that the kidney shutting down wasn't caused by the cancer, although what caused the shutting down might be related to the Cancer fighting drugs. Her kidney is full of stones, some the size of 50 cent pieces.

If I was full of stones, I'd shut down too.

She sounded great though... good enough to flirt a bit before her sleep meds kicked in. It's been four years since our initial phone call, and it's been an interesting ride.

I wonder if they will go zap the kidney stones. They can do that these days. Kidney stones HURT.. I'm glad she sounded good. That's a good sign.

They did the sonic zap in the big tub. When the stones are in the kidney itself, they're harder to zap because they're protected by the body. So the next step is to go into the kidney itself with a sonic laser and zap the stones where they sit.

She did sound good. She has good drugs.
