Non pub night!

Kline + Cyrano + loved ones = wondrous night of magic.

Thanks to Bruce and Susi for the time the shared with us. I was pleased and surprised that you were able to join us! Pity that the show ran so late. I didn't get home until midnight. The only thing you missed was the sniffles.

Bob and Charity were there and as always, it was a joy. Charity looked pretty darn good and she continues to be my favorite foil. Love ya, Charity!

Yes... it was a success, and, of course, reminded me why I love Cyrano so much. It's the sniffles.

Yep, and I DO want to see the ending. Such great casting ...well, except for Jennifer but that's a tough role. You're right, she was trying way too hard.

She actually got a little bit better towards the middle of act iv, when they're at the battle front. I think it was the one she rehearsed the most.

I was also thinking... You know, depending on the director, it could very well be that she was told to push it over the top. I believe that women during that period, especially french women, tended toward the histrionic end of the emotional spectrum. If Jennifer's director was pushing her to be that way, that melodramatic, then she achieved her goal.

Sometimes I forget it's not always the actor who makes the character. Plus, this is her very first Broadway appearance. That might put anyone off their mark.

True. And it could be really intimidating playing opposite Kline.
