This was one of the most difficult passages to write, Dear Capitani. For one thing, it was one that took me three days... lots of research, and thank you so very much for being my guiding eye. Yes, yes... lots of errors, and I love you for catching them. In this part, however, Wells was doing absolutely nothing! Not a thing. Very hard to write stuff when doing nothing. I had 5 days in which to do something, so here he is, at a castle!
The second hard part is this is the first 5 thousand words I have written entirely smoke free, something I had my doubts I could do. I'm very glad you liked it.
