Spent a lovely day with [profile] the_jenny_of_oz yesterday. Got a grand tour of the Columbia Campus and for an extra special treat, she took me into their library, which was definitely one of the primo highlights. Nothing in this world feels or smells like an old library with honest to goodness old books. We had dinner at a place called the Artisan, which is a coffee house the way a coffee house ought to be. Gypsy's could definitely take some lessons.

We had breakfast at Bob Evans, which was the first time I had ever been there. Good sized portions, and not a bad batch of sausage gravy and biscuits. It was a yum, for sure.

I think that she definitely was feeling a work / time pressure sorta thing this morning. She was writing a paper and grading submissions from her students when I got there on Saturday, and I do indeed appreciated her taking time from her schedule to see me, but I felt it was the time to leave, and so, regretfully, I did.

Made it home, apparently, else I wouldn't be writing this. And speaking of writing, there's a nano thing I need to start to begin. Now... which story should I write....

Thanks for visiting, Chet! I'm glad you liked the library--If I could, I would send you there on my behalf ;-)

And I have that "time pressure" issue all the time... ask Bruce, it never goes away. I really appreciate you taking the time to visit. I look forward to hearing about the Lust Lizard, Steve.

I haven't gotten to the point where his name is Steve yet. And oysters? In November? Bad juju.
