Got out of the house with Susi and went to Philbrook, with a winding lost route path through some of the biggest old houses in Tulsa. And a quick stop at the Tulsa Teaching Garden, just East of the Rose Garden inside Woodward Park.

Relaxing, enjoyable, wonderful! We wandered around the Teaching Garden, smelling herbs and plants (um... yeah... plants are herbs. You know what I mean.). Found out that Linda, one of the Volunteers at the Teaching Garden, loves Ren Faires and appeared to be extremely interested in the one in Shawnee.

From there, the Object Project inside of Philbrook. Didn't make it to the Gardens, but will next time. There is just to darn much to see! We spent an hour alone on just this one exhibit. The Object Project was incredible. Images and forms and color and shade were excellently executed in exhibits eschewing emotion and excitement.

Highly recommended, and well worth the 7.50 to get in. Hurry, though. The 21st is the last day of the exhibit.

From there, we went to the StoneHorse Cafe in Utica Square. Had a Cesar Salad with roasted sweet pepper that oddly looked like broiled banana slug. It was done with sweet vinaigrette, and was darn tasty. Even the slug was good, once I closed my eyes on it.

Good trip, great art, marvelous garden, and wonderful company. Thanks, Sis! We'll do it again and next time, we bring flyers!
