"The Universe is comprised mostly of hot air and empty space." She took a tiny ice cube from her drink and delicately popped it into her mouth. She crushed the cube between perfect pearl teeth. 'Crush', the ice said softly, in lieu of goodbye. She smiled broadly, and one could almost imagine a mouse's tail hanging from that smile. "Just like you."

Do you know how semi-shocking it is to hear you use language that even borders on the profane? Not totally shocking... we've talked a bit about our pasts, but still...

Now, Capi... we don't know what caused her to react this way. She might have been sitting at her table, reading something fairly soothing, when a Neanderthal approached her and would not take a polite 'no' as an answer.

I'm just doodling, sis, until I have the time to write paragraphs. I thought the title Life Lines was a good one, cuz they're just unrelated snapshots of images that I can play with in my head. Their kinda like laying a collage out and using them when you get stuck for inspiration. Or something like that.

*LOL*!! We don't know what caused her to react that way... true. But by now, you know what caused ME to react that way, eh? My last 12 hours have been kinda nutso. Better now, but maybe that was some residual, huh? *LOL* Better i take it out on a fictional character than on someone i love!

And yes, these Life Lines are fascinating! Keep 'em comin'! Isn't it interesting to see how we respond to 'em?

Yep... The reactions of the readers will be interesting. I'm sure that my brain will come up with more. I find that it's kinda cool, to see how many different characters there are in there.
