Well... that was loud.

PB tonight was noisy. Not terribly crowded, but really, really loud. I was glad I went because Sara, one of my favorite folks there turned 26 and she also got a promotion to General Manager. As much as I love the place (PB is the basis of the Swinehart pub in the BP&G stories), I wish it was back to the OLD format, where the juke box was NOT digital, was NOT so friggin loud, and people could talk without straining their vocal cords.

Ah well... times times change, the world moves on, and we either move with it, or we drop off to the side.

For those folks that I wish were there, and that's about 20 or so, you were missed and thought of. I'll keep you in my head and heart.

If it was that loud, I definitely don't think I coulda made it...I've been so exhausted the last few days, been running 90 to nothing it seems non-stop. I needed some serious down-time. If I'd had the energy, I would have been there...you betcha. Slept (off and on, thanks to one or two felines stomping across me in the night) for about 10 hours, so I feel much better today. Sorry I missed you guys...and I did miss you guys. We'll see you whenever things are rolling for this weekend!

*Hugs you*

Thanks Story Teller for your comment. I'm glad that at least I was entertaining in my rantiness.

*hugs you back!* Don't get me wrong... your point is very, very valid, and I myself have issues with some folks who think like the woman you described. My step mother actually made the comment that the poor and destitute deserve to be as they are because that way, maybe in their next lifetime, they'll learn to be better. I'm sure she used that same logic to steal my father's legacy to my brother and me and give it to her own son.

I had to laugh at the audacity of the ignorant. It wasn't the rant, per se. It was the story you told. Sort of a Dave Berryish format.
