The Doc...

DocJeff is a bit busy right now. I received an email explaining that the cancer had metastasized and he is focusing on his health and the time he has left.

He could be gruff, he could be irreverent, he could be an ass. He is also a person of great warmth and caring, easily touched by the simple things in life, and a great lover OF life. He is my brother and my friend and a love of mine. I will miss him greatly.

"All things pass from this plane of existence, in time. Even you, my son, will someday see the stars burn away, the earth beneath your feet crumble, and the sky turn dark and never light again. So it is with all things."

Eyes. I got new Eyes!

My prescription came in. They're wonderful, made out of my favorite metal - Titanium (named for Titania) - and they are Trifocals. I have this skinny little lens in the middle that allows me to see pretty darn clear when typing. I'm sure it will be a plus, but right now I do believe that they are making my eyes very tired. I was warned that they would take some getting used to. Maybe I'll switch out from these to the old 7 year old pair for a while, until I get full adapted.

Man, I'm glad I didn't opt for the bionic eyes. Imagine how long THAT would take to get used to.

Didn't go to the KCRF, cuz nobody I knew was getting married this year, and I was broke. I probably wouldn't have gone anyway. Not without my buds to protect me.

Gonna go nap. Tired, tired eyes.

Pray for Doc, or do whatever it is you feel like doing. Haven't heard anything, but I feel he's probably headed for release soon, if he doesn't get suddenly better.

Huh. Feels like it's gonna rain. Go figure. Glad our travelers are home safe and sound.

And the world just keeps turning around.
