Entering the chasm...

Well.. I got a job. It's a neat job, and there are a lot of possibilities for growth and learning. It's with a new company.. relatively new.. bout 5 years old, if you count all the time it's been alive in one incarnation or another. It involves the installation and maintenance of Internet Kiosks in Hotels, Airports..places like that. It's a ground floor opportunity, and they can't pay me much, but 1. it's on the ground floor, lots of opportunity.. and 2. the folks are good. Tomorrow is my first day. I'm a bit nervous.. I'm abit trepidatious. It's one of those times when I'm not really sure if I'm doing a smart thing or not. I imagine that I'll know in about.. 6 months. If I get to the point where my IRS bill is all paid for, and I've just about got my Student Loan paid off (and hey! I'm actually using the money for what it paid for!) then I'll know I'm doing good and I think I'll stay. Course.. I'll be able to snub my nose at those folks that just let me go.. bastids..

On a side note.. there are times when I'd absolutely love to take everyone in the world that has stood by me, wrap them up in my arms and show them how much I love them all. You folks should know who you are. It's like the Beatles song "In my life.."

There are those that are even more special, have been there when I cried, held me in their metaphysical arms and comforted me more than I deserved. I can count those folks on one hand.. well.. one and a half. To those, I'd like to say Thank you, thank you.. I love you all, and I couldn't have made it without you.
