Socks are useful, right?

[identity profile] joegoda.livejournal.com 2004-12-23 11:49 am (UTC)(link)
Depends.. are these the sort of socks that look like any other sock? Grey, white, black, brown? Or are these the amazing socks that can be any color they want? The sort of socks that one can display proudly, whether they be on leg, mantle or car antenna? Something in a tartan so that when they get old, one can sew eyes on them and play Puff The Magic Dragon with it?
And since I know that My Oldest Bud, from the days of Mouth, would get nothing less the Incredible, amazing, fully super Super Socks, then yes, from you, socks are incredibly useful.

oh heavens no!

not a Black and Decker tool kit! what a cliche girl-to-guy gift. and so utterly not my style. nono, i would give you something handmade, or homebaked, or heartfelt. not cold, steel, toothed contraptions meant for repairs, destruction and construction. how droll. hope that's alright.

sorry about the car heater :-(. maybe my pretend gift to you will be a hand-sewn quilt.

Your pretend gift is greatly appreciated! I love hand crafted things, and a quilt is always something nifty. (Power tools are an excellent gift, no matter how cliche they may seem.. all of mine were.. um.. lost.. )
My gift back to you would be a basket of year long happiness, a loaf of incredible joy, one bottle of sparkling laughter, a blanket of warm and snuggly friendship, and one candle to light your way when it seems all is dark and spooky.

Now the bottle of Whiskey is a me kind of gift.. and you know if I bought you a Make up bag that would be pretty funny! So I guess it fits! HUGS Fitz

A makeup bag! I've never had one of those.. hmm.. Might be very unique. Now.. if it was 24 year old whiskey IN the makeup bag.. that would be very neat! DO NOT GET ANY IDEAS, FITZ. I am quite fine. And yes, the walk this morning was wonderful! Sun shining, crisp air.. was able to kick my car on the way to work.. it's a good day!

My gift to you is this: A universe full of support and love, laughter till tears obscure sadness, hearts flowing over to tip yours full as well. And of course.. the fool, as always.
