I could get behind wars if they were fought with nerf bats. Or if it was done like a football game so nobody died.

Yep. That it does. I read it and thought to myself. "Wonder what the sequel will look like?" I'm hoping there's more bout this stuff as the days roll on, but I'm just cynical enough to wonder if it will all be blacked out.
