The mother in this story reminds me of my grandmother.... she's obsessive about keeping her house spotless. It always makes me feel so inadequate as my house is NOT spotless and far from it, I might add. My toddler son and I visited her home at Christmastime last year. He was curious and had to touch everything. He picked up the door stop and when I went to return it, I saw dust!!! Real live dust in my grandmother's "perfect" home. It really made me feel good inside.
