While the world turned, Presidents did stuff and people got mad...

I watched Abe Sapiens and Hellboy get smashed on beer and listen to Barry Manilow. Whatta hoot! While I was doing that, I was making some fairly decent peanut butter cookies, using Peter Pan, which is my favorite. I am at day 17 of the no smoking stuff, and you know... I still find it hard to write. I'll get past it.

Now, I'm also thinking about the next chapter of Cantata, in which Herbert finds that a heart can heal and that time, besides being a royal cheat, can also bring good things every single day.

I also think I'd like to find an adult to go play with on my days off, on occasion. I know, I know... I have lots of friends out there, but I gotta tell ya, much as I love them, I feel like I would keep them from doing something important in their lives. I mean... They is very, very busy, you know? Eh, I'll figger something out. It's probably just this goofy atmospheric disturbance we're all going through.

Then again... "Dere's a raisin I lives alone, son." He tipped his fedora back and the gleaming white band reflected the noon day sun. The eye of a peacock feather peeked out at me from that band, and I think it winked at me. "I don't has to 'splain why I does stuff, I don't has to 'spain when I does stuff, and I don't has to 'splain the stuff I does."

Ya'll play nice with each other. I'm watchin' Timothy Hutton in Legacy. I think he's better than his dad.

The cookies are pretty good, actually. Better than last time. Tell me, Ma' Cheri... what do you think of Pasta Makers? Yes, no? I just figured mine out (It has no manual), and I still haven't figured mine out. I think I need to find a stiffer flour, which I understand happens as a man gets older.

I have never made pasta before, so I would be the wrong person to ask about that. I betcha Susi has, though. What kind of flour are you using? Most pasta is made with semolina.

Salmonella?? No way will I use... oh. Wait.

See how smart you are? You already KNEW! You should be a baker type person.

She's correct. Pasta is not usually made with regular flour, but with semolina flour, which makes a much stiffer dough.

And she is a baker-kind of person - a good one!

She kinda sorta IS a baker type person..;-) Plus she looks awfully cute in the hat!

I told you that you needed to use semolina flour Sunday night, remember??

Shhhhh... can't you see I'm hitting on a baker person?? I mean, a different baker person.

Yes, twin, I remember. I've also read a bit about mixing corn starch into the mix with some of the pastas.

Lol...I am a Food Network JUNKIE. That's how I knew what kind of flour. ;0)
