A temperature gage on the control panel.... (( you got it spelled "gage" and later "gauge"... which will it be, huh? *L*)) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jonathan adjusted the mirror on the right hand side of the canopy, so he could see behind the rail runner as it slid out of the way station. This tells me that they left a door open behind them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The canopy protected the riders from the wind that was generated by the runner's forward movement, but it didn't do much against the sound of the ducted fans. Communication was impossible as the vehicle sped down the tracks. ((My good buddy Pockets would know how to resolve this communication issue.... I'm SURE of it! *grin*)) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Justin straightened, and clapped his brother on the shoulder. "And damned glad I am that you did! More than likely the dastards flew off,...
HA! Dastards! EXACTLY the right word! HA! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jonathan cast a curious eye at his brother. "Lightning. You want to say that lightning cause this?" (( caused?? )) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dang, Chet, you gave me a heart attack ovah heah.... I think i'll go take a nap after that near-miss! *whew*! *tries to bring her heart rate down to something resembling normal* Well done!
