That might work, but might be a bit inconvenient on the spoke, plus the incident of passage would cause a distinctive flicker of output with the distance between spokes. I was thinking of a disk type concept (magnets, coil) on the hub of the front wheel. Divided magnet disk on the wheel hub itself, stator on the wheel post. Faster rotation rate closer to the hub would generate more consistent output.
