Ah! Indeed yes! There is also a tried-and-true duct-tape method that requires you, two t-shirts that will be destroyed during the process, a LOT of duct tape, and at least one VERY good friend. *LOL* That method, done right, works out VERY well in giving you a precise pattern.
Even so, always you will need to find someone to work with you! I would never start a beginner with a bodice, altho i might start her with a vest! And they are not *terribly* different!
