Women with birds...
There are pictures of Women with Birds! At the Wenches last Wednesday, Charity and Teresa both lent their heads and hair as perches for the two kestrals that Bob brought.
Here they is:
Charity and Chase!
Teresa and the un-named Kestral
For capi and dial-up folks... the images are kinda large in full size and may load fairly slowly. It was taken with my cell phone, but darned if they didn't turn out ok doke.

What he didn't snap, or at least didn't post, was a pic of the ADORABLE pupps that was also a rescue that day. Bob said, "Well, they were going to put him down and I just couldn't let them do that." Of course... *smile*
So soft and silk and such a sweetheart. He let Sherri's hubby hold him on his lap, belly up, and flop around his paws like he was playing patti-cake. I nearly died of the cute.
It was a lovely pub night, with friends and birds and puppies and laughter. Nice of the pub owner to be so amicable. I like this place and I like the owner. He saw Bruce and me as we were leaving and gave me a big smiley greeting and came over and did a one arm hug....nice guy indeed. Who know, even a gig or something for QG might come out of it some day.
The place has a nice, relaxed and 'neighborhood' feel to it; just what the owner is wanting to build. *grin* And even though it's a bit of a drive for us, I think it's very worthwhile to support him. He's our kinda guy!

She's simply lovely and has such a sweet, kind and loving nature. They just glow when they're together and it's lovely to see. She helps with the birds and looks so natural doing so.
Unfortunately, she also has a difficult work schedule (I think she's in heathcare?) so they don't get to see one another as often as they'd like.
Bob has had enough of the turmoil....
But it is a VERY GOOD THING.

A couple weeks ago he said quietly to me, "I never knew I needed family before." *big cheesy grin* NOW he knows!

As for pay, that's negotiable. I can speak with him next time we're there and see if we can't discuss it. I surely wouldn't expect him to pay us until after he's heard us. A little good will along those lines is worth a lot.

It might turn out to be an interesting thing, you folks playing there. Might be good for everyone's mutual benefit, even if you and Bruce just do a casual duet sort of thing. I had considered asking you to have him bring his guitar anyway.
Somehow, I can see our group breaking out into spontaneous song, whether it be in the Wench, or out on the Riverwalk. Tho... I think doing it out on the Riverwalk would be very cool, once it stops being so bloody hot.

I think that the evening of the mutual birthday dinner on the Riverwalk might be a great time for some after dinner music. Ya know, ABob has a lovely voice as well...

BTW, I was describing you three to some of my other loved family at WH; hoping that I can introduce you all to one another in a couple weeks!
