Well... it's been a day.

Whew.
Figured out how to remove the Headliner from the Van. It's magic, I tell you... magic. Evil, finger biting magic. Just like some folk.

What else... Ran over town to pay ONE bill, went looking for some of these retainers that I once say many years ago that clip over a panel, and have little hooks on them to catch the fabric so it doesn't slip off. Don't know what the heck I'm talking about? Try to explain that to a hardware store guy... Yeah, and I don't even have an example to show him, her or it. I guess I could fabricate some out of paperclips. I'll only need about 2 or 3 hundred of them. Well... maybe less, depending. OR... I might just try to see if some fabric store has headliner material. Just cuz I'm curious.

aaaannnndd... umm.. bought bread. That's about it. Now, I'm sitting at my desk, trying to focus my old eyes. Tomorrow, at 08:45 I have a dr. appointment with my favorite Optometrist. A funny guy. We were going to play the lead rolls in the Sunshine Boys because our Yiddish is about on par with each others. Then, as always, life got in the way. I'm debating on frames or rimless or just magical eyeballs. I think the Magical Eyeballs may be a stretch though. Darned expensive. And it's at 8:45 in the morning, when I'll be lucky if I can focus on anything, period.

And that is one of the reasons I haven't written more story. One of the reasons. Kinda hard to detail the things in your head when you're fighting the nagging feeling that your eyes just can't see any more.

So... I got coffee brewing. I got a Mikes Hard next to me. I got ELO on the tunebox, and I'm gonna give that writing thing another shot.

There are Stories to write, and promises to keep, and many, many miles before I sleep.

Hugs, kids. Blessings on your successes!

More Coulton...

In writing my previous chapter, I listened to Alice Cooper, ELO, and of course, Jonathan Coulton. I decided to check out some of the lyrics for some of the songs to see if they were Journal worthy and what did I find??

A song I had missed, totally and completely. Either that or the song just recently got posted to the web page. Yeah. That must be it. Yeeeaaaaahhhh. (Actually there are some there that I haven't included for one reason or another. You might want to check out the whole list here: No! Here! just in case you wanted to make up your own mind.)

Anyway, here it is. It's a cute little ditty called "Always the Moon". It kinda pretty much sums up my love life, but it's not a sad song. In fact the rhythm causes me to bounce in my chair, a scary sight, but significant.

Don't forget. The page this link directs you to allows you to PLAY The Song, but it also allows you to read some of Jonathan's thoughts about the song, as well as donate to him, if you feel so inclined. I like to read the background info. Cuz it tickles me.

Always the Moon (EDIT: This song was just posted like... today. It was written on Aug 19th, 2008! Score!)

Oh yeah... I've got the title for the Musical based on his music. It's called 'SkullCrusher Mountain'... until it changes. Just like my mind.

Oh yeah...

While I was writing my latest installment I suddenly realized that it is Amber's Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Darling Niece!
