And yet... no story!
Oct. 4th, 2007 11:08 amLe Sigh. Le Blah. Le hmmm. Got back from Eureka Springs bout 5:30ish yesterday all full of creative stuff until I decided that I needed to read the story (Cantata) so that I would have a better idea of where I needed to take it. It's not a bad story, and in places I had to go "I wrote that?" Unfortunately, once I was done, Pushing Daisies was on, and I had to watch that. cute lil odd show and it make me go "I wish I had written that!". It had the flavor I like to put in to my StoryTeller stories. Impossible odds, improbable events, love lives on. Then I watched 'Evidence of Life' on NBC. Another interesting character study. Other than that, the night is pretty much a blur. Creativity out the window.
Tonight is pub night. There will be pie and the continuation of the celebration of Tim's birthday. Why not. No rule that a birthday is celebrated just once. Every day, we get a year older.
Bout to go to work today. Realized I had no handmixer for the chocolate silk pie I had promised the waitress at PB. Ran and picked on up. I prefer whisks, just cuz, but I don't have a whisk that would have put the proper amount of air into the filling. I think it turned out ok doke, though, all in all.
It's one of those days when I could have just slept, Bill. I know wot you mean. There's days when I wish I could just go home, and there's days when I miss that starship. Good thing them days are getting fewer and farther between.
Hopefully, I'll feel more of the Muse tonight. I also miss writing, which is a shorthand to saying I miss what my brain is like when I'm writing. Firing on all 12s like an old Rolls Royce. Aw well... I'll get back there.
