And home again, for a night...
Sep. 3rd, 2007 09:31 pmMade it back, safe and as sane as I ever am. Very tired, though, and a bit hungry. Plus, early early tomorrow, I start off and drive to Eureka Springs. There's a dentist appointment that needs to be met and there is no other ride to it. It's ok. I kinda like the place.
I did have a wonderful time in KC, thanks largely to Griz, Bags, and Dr. Dixon. On Monday, had a wonderfuller time with Bill the Movie king and his wife Missy! Went to eat at Fritz', marvelous place in KC's Crown Plaza, after a nicely educated tour though parts of KC I wouldn't have seen otherwise. Walked through Union Station, which I dearly love, watched Missy's memories spark and was entertained, and at the same time, walked with her in the same sort of disdain that hardworking folks have when they see their hard work has disappointed because of some stupid red tapped SOB.
Anyway, I'm tired, my knees hurt like crazy, and I need to eat. We're alive, Bruce and Susi are hitched, I met my fear and walked through it. That's enough for one weekend.
