Prayers, Positve, and Pure Energy.
Aug. 19th, 2007 10:26 pmI know I said I wasn't going to post anything but stories, but this is important to me.
I heard through the grapevine that Star's father, a very Good man, is in the hospital. He was taken to the emergency room, possibly from complications arising from Parkinsons disease. I met the man when he made his first trip to a KC Emergency room. I saw him for the first time when he looked up at his daughter and smiled a goofy grin, the same sort my baby brother used to smile when he was trying to say "Yeah, it sucks, but SEE? I'm ok." It was that smile that won my heart the moment I saw him. He's good people.
I understand that Star's mother is staying with her right now, while Star's father is in the hospital. Her mother has Alzheimer's, and therefore, I can imagine that the stay is very hard on both of them. Incredibly so. Her mother is a true shining light among people, and the devastating effects of the disease affects not only the one with the disease, but all those that love them and care for them.
Please, for a moment, or throughout the day, send Star whatever you can in the way of supportive and caring thoughts. This is an unimaginable time in her life.
Thanks.
