I just realized...
When Television goes totally digital in 2009, the aliens in Gamma Sector Delta 10 will suddenly, in the middle of a two part episode of CSI, quit recieving transmission. Or worse! Heroes will say "To be Continued..." and it never will. Granted, this will occur in about 200 thousand years, but still...
When all our rabbity eared tvs suddenly go quiet, we will no longer be bombarding the Universe with pictures!
It could lead to an alien invasion, just to find out what the other half of that two parter will be.
Just like Futurama predicted.
