I stumbled onto some of my mother's 50+ recipe book. It was a little note book she wrote her recipes down in. Now, there's some great things there. Some cakes and something called a Pon Pusque, which is really a fried pie. Delicious crust, as I remember. But the most prevalent recipe is a recipe for Pickles. Bout 5 different types, and I think all from Cucumbers, which I don't like. So, if any of you cuke growers would like me to post 'em, I will. Otherwise, I'll just let them sit in the book.

OH! And a recipe for home made Kraut! That was kinda cool, cuz it's like Kim Chee, but not.

Oh, how neat! When I was packing my dad's stuff up before he moved out to Denver, I found a whole envelope of my mom's hand-written recipes. I have them still even though I've recopied them into my cook book. Her sandies were the absolute bestest cookies ever and her frozen cranberry sauce the only one I like.

Those are things to treasure!
